Project Objectives
The project includes a demonstration of combination of natural and artificial lighting with low-energy mechanical ventilation and heat recovery, with architectural and technical integration of solar PV and thermal energy in an extension to the Department of Electrical and Communications Engineering at Helsinki University of Technology, Espoo, Finland, and optimization of energy use with implementation of solar facade elements and solar heating systems, also using structural daylighting components and integrated lighting control systems.
