Project Objectives
A primary objective of the research is to find out the energy savings made possible by lighting control and dimming and to find out the application of equipment to replace the present lighting systems in new and rebuilt buildings. The possibilities, problems and development needs of new technology will be studied. Other objectives of the research are the development of visual performance models, the study of qualitative and quantitative effects of lighting on visual performance in office environments and the application of luminance-based lighting assessment and measuring method in practice.
